What Is Your Vibration and How To Raise it
What is the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word vibration? No! We are not talking about that type of vibration! This vibration allows us to navigate our moods and engage in wellness. Knowing what your vibration is can assist you daily.
Our Vibrational Frequency
Albert Einstein taught us that everything on this planet is energy vibrating at a different frequency. A vibrational frequency is a state of being within the energetic quality of a person.
High vibration is light, airy, and feels good. It’s flexible and lovingly soft. This type of energy is associated with joy, happiness, contentment, and gratitude. High vibration is often referred to as similar to that of source energy.
Low vibration is the opposite; it’s heavy, stagnant, sluggish, and dark. This type of vibration is associated with feelings of fear, depression, anger, confusion, resentment, and jealousy. Interactions with others, social media, music, thoughts, and emotions impact our vibration. Things that make us happy allow our vibration to be high, and we start feeling joyous like we are on top of the world.
When we engage in things that lower our vibration, we feel low on energy, sad, angry, or like we woke up on the wrong side of the bed.
Why should we pay attention to our frequency anyway?
On a very basic level, low vibrational frequency means that energy flows very slowly through our bodies, which can cause much easier energetic blockages. Low vibrational energy, like resentment, causes energetic blockages in the heart & lungs. When we don’t acknowledge and release these energies, they manifest in our physical bodies as illnesses.
Another reason to pay attention to your vibrational frequency is that you will magnetize towards you more of what you’re currently feeling. It gets tough to manifest something good if you are vibrating low.
8 Ways to Raise Your Frequency
Make a gratitude list
This is my first go-to when I’m feeling in a rut. We tend to focus a lot more on the future and what we have yet to achieve that we forget what we already have. Don’t lose track of the present moments; starting a list with at least three things changes your perspective on life. Another way to feel gratitude is to look at things done for you. I feel extreme gratitude when someone cooks or purchases a meal for me. I meditate on that feeling of gratitude and its’s just divine.
Indulge in Self-Care
Love is a high vibrational frequency, so why not pour some of that onto yourself? What brings you joy and relaxation? Reading? A spa day? Take time out for balance. Even if you decide to place your phone on Do Not Disturb and do things for you, it will raise your vibe!
Reiki, meditation & breathwork
Meditation is awareness in the present moment, and with low feelings, we want to acknowledge them and move the energy rather than ignore them. Feel the feelings; it is healthy. Breathwork is active work, this is great to move low vibrational frequency associated with anger and resentment. The energetic release many people experience is liberating. There are many videos online that direct you during a breathwork or meditation session.
Reiki is more passive and assists in bringing your body, mind, and spirit to equilibrium. All you have to do is relax in a sitting or lying position and experience the energy shift to a higher vibration. If you would like a session with me, you can book one here.
Bump up some music and dance!
Have a dance party! Music has a vibrational frequency depending on the tones and lyrics, I would suggest going with the happiest one in your playlist. If you’re dealing with a breakup go with songs that encourage empowerment, if you’re feeling stagnancy and boredom, press play on some hip hop or urban music! If you want my suggestion, my cure-all is Bad Bunny.
Play with your pets
Engage in some playtime with your pet; you will both benefit. A pet will never make you sad, and if you’re considering getting one, there’s a list of which dog is best for depression.
Aromatherapy
From candles to incense, boiling cinnamon and orange peels, using scented organic body products, aromas allow us to relax through our olfactory senses. Create your oasis with herbs, essential oils, and moisturizing herbs. Check out some of the products from your favorite holistic healer!
Create morning rituals
Brushing our teeth and making our beds is a ritual for most of us, but sometimes we need more structure and routines for ourselves. Spend 10 minutes setting the intention for the day before engaging with others or journaling, checking in with your emotions, lighting a candle, and connecting with your higher self for alignment.
Inhale fresh air
Whether walking or jogging, fill those lungs with the best medicine and fresh air! If you are lucky to have a trail nearby, go on a hike, ride a bike, or hug a tree while being outside! Enjoy the sun, the clouds, or the stars; you are part of this great phenomenon. One of the things Spirit always emphasizes is that if you want magic, you must look to all the magic that is already around you, such as the air, the water, and the ground!
Water!
The most underrated, yet the easiest and most important! Water allows for detoxing the body physically and energetically. Showers and baths are perfect to cleanse out of our bodies of those lower vibrations. Include sea or Himalayan salt in your bath to cleanse your aura and detox your skin. A quick cleanse and release shower ritual is to imagine what is bothering you, leaving your body and going down the drain. It works like a charm!
Summary
a vibrational frequency is the energetic quality of a person. We can either vibrate high with peace and joy or vibrate low with sadness and depression. Knowing your vibration is essential for overall health. Increasing your frequency aids in physical and spiritual health.
Some of these steps take some practice; feel free to switch these to what you think will increase your vibration. The rule of thumb is to start with something that will bring you peace, joy, and happiness.
Happy High Vibe!
