How to Take An Effective Mental Health Day
Mental Health Days are Important to your healing.
Taking time to put your emotional and mental health is essential for wellness. Many of us leave ourselves behind and become occupied with caring for others. This action often leads to burnout.
We need days where we are in simplicity with whatever we are doing. Believe it or not, I like taking my mental health day on days when I know my children will be in school or hanging out with their friends, I know where they’re at, and I don’t have to cook so much food. Ha!
Taking time allows me to return to them refreshed and with mental clarity.
If you don’t have children, there’s plenty of other things you can do for an effective mental health day. There’s the movies, shopping or a day at the Spa.
